AGRO 816E: Genotype by Environment Interaction

Prereqs: AGRO 815A, B, and D, STAT 801A, 802 or equivalent course work or permission.
Types and causes of phenotype instability due to impacts of environmental factors. Topics include adaptation, impacts of G x E on selection and testing, selection of evaluation environments. Statistical concepts to describe/model interactions, breeding for reliability across unpredictable environments, precision phenotyping, selection for specific stresses, use of QTL's for abiotic and biotic stress stability.
