CYAF 451/851: Learning and Teaching Principles and Practices in Family and Consumer Sciences

Prereqs: Admission to the Family and Consumer Sciences Secondary Teacher Education Program; completion of 80% of subject area coursework with a 2.5 GPA or better; parallel CYAF 297J (1 cr) or CYAF 894J (1cr).
Theoretical issues in the area of teaching and learning as applied in Family and Consumer Sciences. Development of middle and secondary education curriculum in Family and Consumer Sciences using student-centered, interactive methods of instruction.
This course is a prerequisite for: CYAF 452
