Techniques of choral and instrumental conducting, score reading and preparation, rehearsal techniques, aural skills, practice strategies, and interpersonal considerations. Aspects of arranging as they relate to the conductor's craft, transposition, orchestration, and analysis. Resources available to conductors and arrangers, books, software, videos, periodicals and Internet sites.
This course is a prerequisite for: MUED 345, MUED 346
