Notes

Computer science majors may take CSCE 155E, CSCE 155H, CSCE 155N, or CSCE 155T instead of CSCE 155A.

SCIENCE REQUIREMENT (12 hours): Computer Science majors must select courses intended for science/engineering majors from the five disciplines of Chemistry, Physics & Astronomy, Biological Sciences, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, and Anthropology (ANTH 242 & ANTH 242L only). Courses must include at least 1 lab.

MINOR REQUIRED: Complete at least one Plan A minor, two Plan B minors or a secondary major. While not required, registering for MATH 208 will complete a Math Plan B minor.

THIS IS A SAMPLE PLAN ONLY – Please see an Academic Adviser at least once a semester to plan courses that best fit your individual circumstances and goals.

SCIENTIFIC BASE FOR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE: The Bachelor of Science degree requires you to complete 60 hours in mathematics and natural sciences.

UPPER LEVEL REQUIREMENT: At least 30 hours of courses numbered 300 or above are required. Of those 30 hours, at least 15 must be completed at UNL.

PLEASE NOTE

This document represents a sample 4-year plan for degree completion with this major. Actual course selection and sequence may vary and should be discussed individually with your college or department academic adviser. Advisers also can help you plan other experiences to enrich your undergraduate education such as internships, education abroad, undergraduate research, learning communities, and service learning and community-based learning.
